SECO BOARD FOR THE 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR
SECO is looking for board members and committee members for next school year, and we need your help to keep our programs going strong. Please review the board position details below or learn more about our committees here to learn how you can get involved. Without parent volunteers stepping up to help lead and organize, beloved events like the Halloween Party, Raccoon Run, Glow Party, Movie Nights, and We Are Sato Night may not happen next year.

HELP RAISE FUNDS WITH THE BOTTLE DROP PROGRAM!
Did you know your bottles and cans can help support Sato Elementary? SECO is now participating in the Oregon BottleDrop Give program for non-profits, allowing families and community members to recycle eligible beverage containers while raising funds for SECO sponsored programs, events, and enrichment opportunities.
To participate request a blue SECO BottleDrop bag on our website and a bag will be sent home with your student. Collect eligible bottles and cans at home and drop the full bag off at a BottleDrop location. No BottleDrop account is required to participate, and the QR code on the bag connects the donation directly to SECO.
Visit our website to request a bag and learn more about how you can participate. If you have any questions, please email fundraising@satocommunity.org

POPCORN FRIDAY: FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH
Many of our classes still need sponsorships for the April Popcorn Friday happening Friday, April 24th!
Sponsor a Class: For $30, family members can sponsor a class for the month which ensures each student gets a bag of popcorn! Please visit our website store to sponsor your student's class.
Help a class in need! Some of our classes struggle to find Popcorn Friday sponsors each month. If you are able, please consider purchasing a Help A Class Sponsorship. These sponsorships are used to sponsor a class that would otherwise go unsponsored.
Look for ParentSquare volunteer signups to come out next week.

BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY: APRIL 28TH
Join us in celebrating our amazing bus drivers on April 28th! These dedicated drivers safely transport our students each day with care and kindness, and this is a great opportunity to show our appreciation.
Families can participate by having students make a card or drawing, write a thank-you note, or bring a small token of appreciation (like a favorite snack or drink). A simple “thank you” goes a long way in making our drivers feel valued!

TAEKWONDO PARTICIPANT THANK YOU
Thank you to all the families who signed up for the April after-school fundraiser with US World Class Taekwondo Bethany! We truly appreciate your support and hope your students have a fantastic time participating, building confidence, and learning something new.
