Sato students LOVE popcorn Friday - and so do we!
With the support of families and volunteers, one Friday a month, SECO hosts Popcorn Friday for students. We love seeing how excited the kids get (and some staff members too!) when they see the popcorn machines in the cafeteria.
During their lunch, SECO sells bags of popcorn to students for $1.00. For $25.00, parents can sponsor a class for the month which ensures each student gets a bag of popcorn! Read below for more information on this much loved program.

Popcorn Friday Program
We are excited for another great year of our Popcorn Friday program. In combination with school assemblies and Spirit Days, Popcorn Fridays are the perfect way to end the week!
Prior to each month's event, SECO will remind families that class sponsorships are available for purchase on our website. Months that show "sold out" mean a sponsorship has already been purchased for that class. If the month is already paid, you may purchase a later month, or consider sponsoring a different class. Some classes struggle to find sponsorships each month, so extra sponsorships are always appreciated! Students in a class that do not get sponsored for the month will have the option to purchase a bag of popcorn at lunch for $1.00.
The popcorn is popped fresh in the cafeteria by our wonderful
team of volunteers and distributed to most students during their lunch period. Kindergarten students will receive their popcorn during their class snack time. With the exception of first grade, all students are required to finish their popcorn during their lunch and can not take their popcorn out of the cafeteria.
SECO uses Jolly Time All in One Popcorn Kits for our events. These kits are gluten free, 100% whole grain, include non-GMO kernels, and utilize either coconut oil or sunflower oil*. Please review the nutritional labels and ingredients list for more information. Upon request, SECO also offers individual packages of Pirate's Booty (Aged White Cheddar Cheese Puffs) as an alternative to students with braces. Please note students do not have the option to choose between the two snack, and students with braces will need to request this alternative snack during distribution.

Volunteers Needed!
Three shifts of volunteers are needed for each event to help set up the machines, pop and bag the popcorn, distribute popcorn to the students, and clean and put away the machines. No prior experience is needed as you'll receive on-site training!
