What is SECO?
SECO (Sato Elementary Community Organization) is the parent-led group behind the events, programs, and support that make Sato feel like family. We partner with teachers and staff to enrich learning and build community for our 870+ students and their families — through fundraisers like Raccoon Run, everyday favorites like Popcorn Fridays, and family events throughout the year.

SECO runs Raccoon Run, Popcorn Fridays, family movie nights, cultural celebrations, and more throughout the year. We also partner with BottleDrop, Fred Meyer Community Rewards, and Office Depot/OfficeMax school rewards programs — easy, no-cost ways to support Sato just by shopping where you already do.
Where the Money Goes
Raccoon Run is our biggest fundraiser, bringing in over half our annual income (53%).
The rest comes from smaller events like Popcorn Fridays and the Halloween Party.
Every dollar goes right back into Sato — the largest share funds the Teacher/Staff Budget (29.8%), followed by administrative costs (16.8%) and running Raccoon Run itself (12.9%). The remainder supports programs like Play. Fit. Fun., field trips, Fifth Grade Celebration, staff appreciation, and more.
