As many of you have heard, May 8th will be a non-student day for Beaverton students due to the desire of many teachers throughout the state and at Sato Elementary to participate in a "Day of Action" designed to advocate for adequate and stable funding for K-12th grade education. Please see opportunities below to get involved in supporting our teachers, staff, and kids on May 8th.
Join us for Sign Waving at 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at strategic locations. The closest location to our school is at 173rd & Cornell. Kids are welcome. There will be limited parking at Five Oaks Middle School, so consider carpooling.
Rally and March at Tom McCall Waterfront Park: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Join educators, students, families and supporters from around the Portland metro area for this family-friendly event.

From early childhood through higher education, students deserve schools that can give them every opportunity to thrive. Educators across the state will be taking action on May 8th because decades of disinvestment mean that Oregon’s students have to navigate some of the largest average class sizes in the nation, missing out on individualized attention from their teachers and educators.
